After tea we all went fishing. No one caught any fish but my second cosin just about caught a jelly fish! It was a very very fun night.

In the holidays I went motorbike racing at the farm. It was very rough. I went with dad and it took about 2 hours. Ollie, Luka, Nico and Shane went on the really hard track. We were very tired but the others had one more lap to do. After they finished we went home, we had to go all the way back to Nelson, but Ollie went with the others. It was really fun down at the farm.

Spot The Bird By Matilda

On a sunny Monday afternoon Chloe and I were walking down our driveway. Suddenly! We heard a CHEEP! CHEEP! I shot down as fast as a bullet and crawled towards the sound...There! I shouted. There stood a month old thrush chick. Chloe scooped the poor chick up. She took him home and then we got him a cozy card board box to live in. Later that evening his box was full of wood shavings,he had his feed of mashed chick food and finally he had his nape. A couple of days later mum said we could tack Spot to school! The day past so quickly and then we brought him to school.

Hunting with Dad By James

We packed our bags then said bye mum and jumped in the car for the long journey to Christchurch . The drive was  very long so we stayed the night at Gran's house in Christchurch . We had a lot of fun at Gran's house .

The next day we were off finally. We came to Mt Cook! What a sight to see. Then a huge helicopter came and picked us up.

The hut was small and had lots of sand flies but it was a good spot.

After we unloaded we got out our scoops to spot thar [thar are like goats but bigger]. At first they were very hard to spot but then I got my eye in. I could see six or seven. Wow! They are hard to spot but then I got my eye in. Then we were off hunting!!!!!!

We walked up a huge hill. We got nothing. ''Maybe next time,'' I said.

The next day dad and I heard several shots. It was Wellzy, Dad's  friend.  He shot to bull thar.

The next day the helicopter got us. I had an awesome adventure.

Australia By Harrison

In the holidays I went to Australia.  We went to Auckland, first, the plane was really cool, when we took off it felt really cool because you lent back and went really fast and then we were in the air about half way through you got an activity to do. It was easy but the other side of the page was hard. We had to do an acrostic poem.
Once I did it we were there. The airport was huge. It was 100k.
We found a bus that took us to the right piece of the airport so we looked for the right gate. It was gate 11. So we went and sat in the lounge until the plane was called out then we walked down a hall kind of thing into the plane. We got on and before you knew it, we were in the sky.
We reached an altitude of 3098. In three hours we landed. We landed at 9:00 at night and then my aunty was there with a welcome balloon and sign saying all of our names.
After we got in the car and traveled for an 1 hour, we parked the car at their apartment so we went to sleep.
Then we to a convention for two days.
After that we went to a aquarium. There was a 6 and a half meter crocodile. After that we got to go tree surfing. I was the best at keeping my balance because I sprinted across the platform and then we did a lot of mazes, then we did biscuiting down a big hill.
On the next day we went to Luna Park. My favourite thing was a thing that went up side down but when it was slowing down we were up side down for  ages.

In the weekend we had rugby. It was fun. We came 4th. We played 6 games. I was tired. At least we had breaks in the middle. We had fun. The first game we played was Huia. We lost 5 -4, very close, next game was Waimea White and we won 3-2. Our next game was Nelson, and that was a very close one as well, 4-3.
At the Wanderers Rugby Prize Giving, I got a trophy for being the best player. Rob, my coach said I go it for encouraging others when they play and score. It is the 4th time I have won it.
My brother, Ollie got into the Reps, and Lucy got a free ball at the Rugby Tournament.
We are a lucky rugby family!!!

Poor Tinkerbell!!!!!!!

On Monday night Mum, Dad, Tayne and I were sitting in front of the TV and eating Fish & Chips. I was wondering where Tinkerbell was? "Mum, where is Tinkerbell?" I whispered. Mum replied, "She must be outside Holly."  Then Tayne and I went for showers and brushed our teeth and jumped into bed. Mum started to laugh,"Hah Hah Hah!" I jumped out of bed and came out of my room into the lounge. There was Tinkerbell standing in front of the fire soaked. "Hah Hah Hah!" Tayne and I giggled. Mum dried her down with a towel and said,"Good night Holly and Tayne. Off you trundle." Then Tinkerbell was on my bed all night. In the morning she was on my bed still!!!!! I jumped out and stroked her back and her tail was still long and skinny!!!!!!! I got some breakfast and she followed me to the kitchen I thought that was kind of weird!

                                          THAT WAS TINKERBELLS FUNNY NIGHT!

Monday, June 23, 2014

On Saturday Flynn came over to my house.First we hit my squishy trashies into the wooden wall. Next we had lunch we had sausage rolls. I had chilli sauce, then I put to much on my sausage roll. It felt like my tongue was on fire.I quickly got a drink. Later on Flynn and I brought Moss up on the hay bales. Moss went thought a little gap in the hairy hay bales. Flynn was up there with Moss so I climbed up but I wasn't fast enough. Too late! Moss was sinking like a stone and he slowly disappeared into the darkness of the deep hole. So I quickly jumped down and sprinted over to Dad to tell him what had happened. Georgia started screaming like she was scared out of her skin. Dad and I flew over to the shed to get a rope and a torch. Dad went down the side of the creepy hole. Dad pulled Moss out of the dark hole. Moss was coughing for a while, so we left Moss to do his thing. What a frightening day.

soccer

On windy Saturday it was soccer, so Mum, Brook and I had breakfast and raced to soccer. Later we were there. I sprinted over to the muddy field. First we did a pratice. Next it was time to play soccer against the 10th grade team from Richmond. They got to start with the ball then I got it and raced with the ball to their goal. I kicked but the ball bounced off the the side  of the goal and came back to me. I kicked it again then I went zooming into the goal. The score was 2-1 to them. Later it was finished we went back home and I washed my muddy legs

ASB

On Sunday Breanna, Danni, Tegan, Lydia and I, including Breanna's Mum and mine, went to the ASB for a swim. First we all jumped into the wave pool and had a quick dip in the lazy river until we spotted two rings and a surf board, so we grabbed one each but  someone had to share a ring. Then mum brought out four bowls of chips and we were all wanting to watch the big carved Waka, but it was a shame we couldn't hop on it. Once we had finished, Tegan and me jumped into the lane pool. After the Waka was out they blew up the obstacle course but sadly we had to hop out. Soon we were all dressed and we went to the playground.  Breanna and I climbed the tree and when Breanna climbed down she scratched her back on the sharp branch sticking out. For a minute I thought she was laughing but she was screaming. That would of hurt. But apart from that, we all had a great time!!!!

my little kune kune

On the sunny Saturday Mum, Dad and I went to the animal farm (we were here to get my little kune kune). We were  driving in the drive way when we saw my little kune kune. She is ginger with a little bit of white with black dots. She stands out very well. We picked her up and put her in a cage with some hay and gave her some apples. She was happy the end!!!!!!!!

In the amazing weekend me and my family zoomed in our small dingy. Dad drove. We saw a big slimy eel under the boat. It had scary looking eyes. We stopped at each launch for the boats. Tayne and Mum sat at the front of the boat because... it might tip and we would all fall out. We had a picnic  at the lovely bush. It had nice smells and colour. I had three crackers and an apple. I got in the boat and zoomed off into the deep blue sea. All the waves made us jump out of the seats. We didn't do much!

The Suter Art Gallery By Matilda

On a heart warming Monday morning the bouncing children of Room 7 rode in their parent's shining cars to go to the Suter Art Gallery, which is in the flower filled Queen's Gardens.

After a scrumptious morning tea we strotted off to the gallery. We flew into the art filled, dimly lit, impressive Gallery . Then we were free to go and gaze or admire the patterns on the inspiring work. Like humans, they had a neck, arms, legs, bellies and they had another thing in common- they were all different sizes, shapes and has all different senses of humour.

The most exciting part of the day had arrived. Ester hurled the clay like a shot putter champion, so we moulded St Patrick's Star, then we pinched the chin, arm
s, legs an head. Soon, we bombed the sticky, oozy, bumpy hair on.

What an inspiring day.

Suter Art Gallery By Toby

On a sunny Monday morning the happy children of Room 7 sped off to the Suter Art Gallery, which is set in the excellent Queen's Gardens.

After a yummy morning tea we strode off to the Gallery to view he interesting Maori Pottery Models made of smooth clay.

We followed Ester into an art filled Gallery. After introducing the exhibition, Ester let us have a wander round to view the best pottery we liked. Like humans, all the pottery had a neck, or a belly, or legs or arms, also like humans they had different shapes and sizes.

The most exciting moment of our trip was when we strode into the modelling room. First we moulded St Patricks Star. Afterwards we shaped the head and pinched the legs and the arms. Finally we pushed the head on. The hair was slimy like long skinny worms.

What an exciting day.

On a shining Monday, the excited, giggling children sped off to the beautiful, flowery Queen’s Garden. We had a delicious morning tea. Afterwards we sat down quietly on the smooth, stone, comfortable seat by the Art Gallery.

We followed Ester into the dimly lit Art Gallery filled with interesting, wonderful models. After introducing the names of the artists we admired the exhibition. Like humans the designs had a neck, arms, legs and bellies.

The most exciting part of the trip was when we strode into the teency tiny modelling room and Ester hurled out the brown sticky clay at us, the modelled the sticky clay into St Patricks Star. Next we shaped it into a Maori character sitting down,

What a heart warming time we had at the Suter Art Gallery.

Suter Art Gallery By Claudia

On a sunny Monday morning the extremely excited class Room 7 raced off to the Suter Art Gallery.

After a delicious morning tea we quietly jogged off to the Art Gallery to view the very interesting Maori Pottery models made of very smooth clay.

We followed Ester into the impressive art filled room full of amazing Maori pottery sculptures! After introducing the artist's names we were allowed to gaze around to find our favourite art sculpture! Like humans, all of the pots have a neck, arms, legs, bellies. Also like humans, they are all different shapes and patterns.

The most exciting time of all we get scrambled into a tiny room. Ester chucked the slimy clay to each of us. Next we modelled St Patrick Star. We pinched  the arms and legs, patted on the hair and sculpted it to model it to sit down.

What an awesome time.

My Birthday- By Nathan

For my birthday, I got an electronic drum kit and some drum sticks and in the morning I got hubba bubba farting goo and a bike chain.  I am going to invite some friends to come ten pin bowling and mini golf. The exciting part was having a sleep over on Grandads boat. We anchored out in front of Rabbit Island and put out fishing lines. When we hauled them in we got 6 brim. Nan and Mum cooked them for tea. I watched Sticky TV and I was on it because I'm a club member.

Dad in Tanzania

My Dad is in Tanzania staying with Grandad and Rose. Grandad has been working over there and he is coming home for ever soon. He is coming to live in his house in Nelson. Dad has gone to visit him for a long time. Dad took some pens, crayons and some felts and he gave them to the children at a school. Dad has been on a safari and he saw a warthog. It looks like pig.
Dad has sent 3 photos and they took ages to send.

FUN WITH DAD

On Sunday morning at  our bach we went for a drive up to the top of the hill and on our way back we saw a huge stag. Dad had his gun in the car so he grabbed it and he sat down and shot it. After we shot it we went to the farmers house that was next to our bach. His name is Dennis. He was keen coming to help us but he had work to do. So we drove back to where we shot it. After that Dad said I want you to try and come down the hill so you can see your first stag. I said yes. It took 2 or 3 hours to get to it but that  didn't matter at all.We finally found it with the help of our 2 smart dogs. We pulled it up the hill and finally got to the car. We were talking about it the whole way home.
