On Friday my kitten got put in a cage to come to my house because we brought it from the pet shop by the mall. He is so cute. He is a tabby, he is 4 months old, he is so fun to play with! He climbs the x mas tree. He's so cuddly, he

sleeps on me.

On Friday Brightwater School had great big PET DAY! 

I brought a calf called Soc,  Mrs Duncan brought AJ and Toby.

 Mrs Duncan showed Rm 7 Toby's tricks and what AJ is learning.

In the flower show I came 1st and 2nd place.

At the end of the day all the pets went round the arena and every one did great.

Pets Day By Chloe

On Friday it was Brightwater Schools PETS DAY. I brought my pet sheep.
  Her name is Rosie. I did a trick with her, she jumped over a seat. Rosie did it with no lead.
She went in a dog race. She was winning at first but it took us a long time to get her though the hoop. Rosie came second.
I LOVE PETS DAY! 

Rarotonga- Jazmine

  
Last term I went to Rarotonga with my cousins and family.It was a long flight. We got there at about midnight. We waited for a long time until our passports got checked and bags. Soon we got onto our bus our hotel was called the Rarotongan Beach resort and spa. At the hotel there was table layed out with pineapple juice. We got checked in and went into the room 105. Then we got into bed.In the morning we got out of bed and had breakfast. We went into a special room and had toast,fruit,and,cereal.Our cousins had breakfast early and they went to the market at 6:00. We went to our room and put our togs on. Then we went into the cold pool. Brrrrrr! It's freezing. We tried the beach that was much warmer. We saw no fish. Soon we had lunch pizza. Yummmmmmm!

Tayne's flood

On Thursday I went to Puponga with Nick and Lorraine, Caleb and Mason too. When we got there we went white baiting and got 20 white bait. We stayed for 3 days. On the 2nd day it rained night and day it flooded. We saw a camper van in the river. We went to the Tractor Museum we saw a fake horse and cart. Then we went back to Puponga. The bach is warm.

A Cool Ride in a Helicopter

In the holidays I went in a helicopter with my family. We went in a Hughes 500 with Sid Deaker.

Hunting Competition by Josh

In the big holidays I went hunting . We went to the batch for the night. Dad shot a deer and we hung it. Then went to bed. The next morning Dad said we are not having breakfast until I shot that goat so we went out to the clearing and when we where half way there Dad saw a big one, then he said we are going to go shot it. When we got to the clearing Dad spotted a deer. Then we saw 3 small goats, then Dad saw 1 big one. Dad got the gun out, then Dad said it was going. Then Boom! The bullet hit it. I was so excited that I had shot my first goat. We waited 15 minutes for it to stop moaning then Dad pulled it onto the track. Dad gutted it then we walked back to the hut for breakfast. After breakfast Dad and I went to get the goat and deer. When we got back we hung them both. When we got to the bottom of the hill, we got in the truck. When we got home we had a shower and then went to my rugby club. We weighed it and it was 45.4 Kg. I came 2nd. I lost by 1 Kg. Then we had tea for free because I entered. We got goodie bags. Then we had spot prize. I got a black jacket and Dad got a green jacket. Then me, Ollie, Jed and Catlyn did some kicks.

I'm Gina. I have been living in Perth Western Australia for the last 10 months.  It was heaps of fun in Perth, but it wasn't as fun as NZ.

 I didn't have as much space to run around the block to my friends house because of ...STRANGER DANGER...

I lived in a small house with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It also had a pool a quarter of the size of the house and a small back yard.

 I am pretty happy to be living back in NZ because I have lots of space to  run around. I also have met up with lots of my old friends.

 Last weeked Nico and Luca went to the Mini Motocross Nationals. In the 50cc class Nico got 1st and Luca got  2nd  in NZ in the 65cc class. Nico is the best in NZ for his class which is the 50cc. He got $100 from his Dad and got $100 from his uncle and $80 from his mum so he got $280 in total. And Luca got the same too. Next year they are going to Aussie.

Rainbows End by Kushla and Xavier

In the holidays Kushla went to Rainbows End. At Rainbows End she went on the Roller Coaster. She screamed. Kushla and Jahcoby and Becky went on the log ride. She put her hands up in the sky when she went on the Invader. She went on gold rush. When they went in the cave it was funny because when it went fast, it stopped quickly and donked my big tooth.

On Friday at 4.00pm I went to church to go on a bus, my dad was driving the bus. All the teenagers and I left at 5.00pm. The bus ride was two hours long but half way we had a break. Everyone hopped off and had fish and chips. The whole bus ride all the teenagers were singing because someone had a radio, everyone was overwelmed by the words that I knew to the songs.The boat ride was 1 hour. Finally we arrived at the camp, by the time I got to bed that night it was 10.45pm. Next morning I got up at 8.00am and had breakfast meet the others and hung out on the tramp that was dug in to the ground. The whole idea of the camp was an Olympic theme- you got points for winning games. That night I didn't go to bed until 10.30pm.  I got up at 10.00am and had breakfast and played. Next I had 3 goes on the coolest flying fox ever invented. At first I was soooooo scared but after that I was fine. The reason it was so scary was because it was over water and if you let go you could drown. Next we had the medal ceramony, Jamacia came 4th, Ukriane came 3rd, Mexico came 2nd and .....................MADAGASCAR came1st. My team was Madagascar. We won a can of coke and a massive lolly. Then we went home.

Party at Cole's house- Cole

On Saturday the 8th of the 9 in the afternoon at 4.00pm I had in awesome 8th disco birthday.
I got pens, pencils, rubbers, sharpners, home packs, pencil tins and lots more!
We hired a disco ball that spun around like a balloon with a shimmer of sparkles.
To eat we had popcorn, chips, cookies, shapes and yummy banana cake.
We danced to songs and played a few games such as duck duck goose, musical statues and the favourite musical pillows. We had prizes and surprizes to go home, we had a great time eating dinner as well because we ate spring rolls and garlic bread plus pizza.

We stayed up till 7.00pm and then went home. We had an awesome time at the party. It was fun!!!!!

Bike Riding in Christchurch By Nico

Nico went to Christchurch with his KTM motor bike and he got a trophy called King of the North because he won a feature race. He got $20 prize money and he is saving it at the moment to buy some new shoes. He also won another trophy for winning all of his races because he won the series by 60 points!!!! He is now aiming to get first or second in New Zealand in the October Mini Nationals which will be held in Upper Hutt. He is training everyday, practicing jumps and corner speed.

Dad's Big Crash By Tayne

On Saturday Dad went mountain biking in the Richmond Hills. When he came off the bike went forward and Dad went back. Lucky the bike wasn't broken but Dad was! He went with Nick and Nick didn't fall off the jump. There was a rock after the jump. There was 11km to go till they got to the truck and after they got to the truck they went to Nick's house and they sent Mum a text to say Dad had fallen off his bike.  He avoided the doctor and cleaned himself up! The next day he got gravel out of his nose.

 On Wednesday I bought my kitten to school. Her name is Lucy. She is 6 months old. She is brown and white. Lucy was in a bird cage when I bought her in. Callum and Kayla and Phoebe and Matthew and Skylah and Mrs Duncan saw it.

Tayne's Fish- By Tayne

On Saturday I am going to the Pet Shop to buy a fish because it died so I'm getting a blackline flying fox. Angle fish are as aggressive as a shark is to guppies. They are meat eaters. We have 5 guppies and 4swordtails- that's a total of 9 fish in a tropical tank. We have a barrel and a plane. Since Monday I've watched tv waiting for Friday to come.

Daffodil Day!!!!!!!!

On Friday it will be Daffodil Day. We are fundraising for the cancer society. To celebrate Daffodil Day the Brightwater students will have as much yellow on as possible.The children will bring a gold coin donation for a coin trail.
