Well, yesterday on 13th of September the children had a Kiwi Sports Day.

There were Brightwater, Ranzau, Hope, Appleby, and Wakefield. It was only the Middle Syndicates.

The children had to do 7 sports but there were 13 of them.

In bowls they had to try and hit a white ball.

Kiwi Sports Day is held so they can make friends.

On Tuesday Sean was playing in the re inactment game it was Nelson college vs Nelson club at the Botanics .
The rules were that to get a point you had to get over the line to get a shot at goal and that is one point . There was a haka performed by 1000 Nelson college boys on the carthedral steps . There was a fight in the rugby .
Aldo Micio got a horse and carriage to the Botanics to watch the game.

Walking with dinosaurs the arena spectacular By Ethan

Wipeee, we are going to walking with dinosaurs. On Saturday the second of July we went to the dinosaurs. I got a bag, a note pad, stickers,badges and a t-shirt. There were ten dinosaurs and a big t-rex that had to attack two dinosaurs. There was a stegosaurus as well as a Brachasaurus and plateosaurus.

On Saturday I went to the skating rink for a competition. We left home at 7:30am. On the way I got Powerade. My events were: Figures and I got first in Free skating, I got second and in dance I did not get anything. At lunch they had speed races a 100 m. I got 4th and in the 200m race I got 5th. There were people from Upper Hutt and from Christchurch. At one presentation, a girl from Upper Hutt fell off the first. It was a really fun day. I looked really pretty.

On Saturday my rugby team played Waimea Old Boys and we won. At half time the score was 5-2 to us. At full time the score was 7-4. Their coach was the referee in the first half and Tim did the 2nd. Mitchell got forward of the day and Jack got back of the day. I was playing half back.

My Goat is a Baby Goat. It is called Annie. It has brown a head and then a white back. I lead it around the house after school and in the weekends and I get to take it down to the shed where my Mum and Dad are. We got it from Tapawera and we brought it home in a van.

Yesterday I went to a motor x race in Dovedale and the A groups track was up the hill and it was slippery But down the Bottom of the hill the Bs group was racing. The Bs group was my group and man it was slippery all right and fun. It was awesome.

This week I am going to Ikamatua to ride my motorbike. I am going to win I hope.

Me, Cameron and Bailey played a night game. I got an intercept and scored a try. Tapawera lost 9 7 to Wanderers. We had a feast in the clubrooms.

My New Pony By Maddie

Yay! My new pony is coming in the weekend. She is a shetland cross and she is 16 years old.
My new pony is a pinto mare. Her name is Strawberry. The first time I rode Strawberry I fell off
twice and when I was trying to get back on something funny happened- she bit me on the bum
2 times! But I got a leg up until it was Ameera's go. I led her around trotting and walking.
Then it was time to go. I said bye to her. Then we got her padock ready her saddle and bridle
ready too. finally we got everything done. Wow! that was alot of work.

Greenstone is more common in Te Wai Pounamu. Greenstone is mostly found in rivers. Greenstone is nearly as rare as diamonds. Because it is so hard,it has been used instead of iron for axes and hand tools. The Mere was often made of Greenstone. You can still collect Greenstone in rivers like the Arahura River.The Arahura River is closest to Hokitika.

On Term 2 we made big Bubbles the size as Matt. Everyones were great but mine was the biggest. I used 2 sticks and string with a metal ring on it. When I lifted it out it made a triangle shape but the bubbles changed to circles.

Round 1
On Term 2 we brought things to make a bubble mixture, then we had to make tools to blow bubbles. We made massive bubbles. Matthew put his straw through his bubble. We used our hands, fingers,and wire.
Round 2
Our next goal was to not use our hands.We looked for things we could use other than our hands that would help us blow our bubbles. We used wire, plastic ties, funnels, straws and sticks and string.
Taine threw the biggest because he had a bigger tool than us. The funnel was cool because I thought it might not get mixture in it when you dipped it in the mixture.

Camping at Ward Beach By Georgia

Yah! I can't wait until Friday morning we're going to Ward Beach . So off we went to Ward Beach. Mum said it would just be like going to Blenheim. A few hours later we arrived at Ward Beach with Grandad and Grandma. Wow! I had forgotten how big the pop top was.The next day we all went for a big long walk along the beach.We all walked as far as you could go.Oh look you can see a hole family of seals I said to mum.We all saw a little cave with a rock on each side of a seal and 1 was at the back and 1 was on top of the seal. One hour later we went for a drive it took about 1 and a half hours to get there but we finally got there. I turned to Dad and said how do we get to the water fall and the baby seals? Dad said you go through that little path way. Grandma said it takes about 2 minutes to get there. Finally we made it. There were lots of caves that the seals live in. Mum looked at that one. It's pushing all the other ones off that. A seal came waddling up to us. Tayla started tell him off. So we went off back to the car and drove back to Ward Beach. On the way back we stopped at a dairy. When I shut the door, I slammed my finger in the car door. I burst into tears. Then we went to a Cray Fish Factory. We drove all around the factory and no one was there. After that we just went straight back to Ward Beach.

In the holidays at 7 o clock in the morning I hit the road with Liam, Tim and Gail. Yum!! bacon, egg, tomato, toast. That's what I had for lunch. Time to hop off the ferry Mum. Zip zoo zam we're there. We're there! Dad can we have KFC for tea? "Ok, Cameron.'' Thanks Dad. Z z z z z z z ring ring. Time to go to MacDonalds for breakfast. Mum can we have the left over KFC for lunch. ''Ok''. Where are we staying next Tim? ''Pukekohe" Ok does it have a spa? ''No!!'' Ohh!! what are we having for tea? ''Meat lover". Yum z z z z z z z z z. Tim could you please be quiet. BROOM, BROOM. I'm never travelling again. Are we there yet? Yes we are there. Hi Noel and Cheryl. Good girl Gemma and Jet. Man your fire is warm. Cameron time for bed. In the holidays we went to Maruia to see our cousins. It took us a long time to pack our clothes. I helped Dad put the motorbikes on the trailer. It takes about two hours to get there. It is not much fun driving there but only when we get lollies. We got to go to a dirt track with our motorbike. There was mud about the size of my motorbike. All you could hear was BROM! BROM! BROM! because there were motorbikes everywhere. You could not hear one clear sound. Then Mum went back home to go get the big kids. Trent my big brother, my cousin and me went up the hill. Half way up my chain on my motorbike came off but by the time Trent got there he had gone to the school pool so he got a spanner and came back up. I had to push it most of the way. It was not that much fun. I milked the cows at 5 o'clock in the morning. I had to go to get the milk because Dad did not be bothered but in a while I loved it. Every morning I did go to see the milk tanker and on EASTER DAY I went to to give him an EASTER EGG. It was my birthday

Australian Holiday By Jarrad

In the holidays I went to Australia. We went to Featherdale Zoo. We saw bats, owls, hawks, snakes, sheep, crocodiles and kangaroos. T hen we went to the Aquatic Center. There was a hydroslide, a lazy river that was over my head. There was a bucket that got filled up with water and it tipped on you. It got filled up by a sea horse. There was a little pool that you could jump in. You couldn't jump in any of the others . Then we went to the Olmpic Center. We couldn't get in because they must of had something on so then we waited. We finally got in. There were shops. We saw rugby teddys, rugby tee shirts, rugby hats and socks. And then we went to the wedding. The wedding went from 6 o clock till 1 o clock in the morning. The plane that we went in had tv. We had to go in a container on the way to Australia. We were in seat 28. On the way back we were in seat 45 and 46. We didn't take off in till midnight. It was very late when the wedding finished. We had Mum's brothers car. It was a subaru. We went to Paramata. We went to the big mall and went shopping. On Wednesday I went on a huge ship called the Spirit of New Zealand. It has got lots of things like sails and things to climb up. The sea at the time was calm but we were making waves come off us. The engine room was very loud with all the things working. My Grandad was part of the crew.

Red and Black day was a success- Jessica.

On Friday we dressed up in red and black to raise money for Christchurch. I was dressed in my Crusaders top and skinny jean which are black.We raised $497.90.

My puppy
On Saturday I got a new puppy. I got it from Frank. Its name is Stumpy because Girl is Mum of five pups. Stumpy got his name cause he got his tail bitten off. He came out backwards and no one was there to help so Girl tried to pull him out herself and she nipped off the end of Stumpy's tail. Stumpy is growing well.

On 14th.2.2011 I brought 2 robots to school. 1 is human and 1 is animal. They can do all sorts of things like walking and talking. I got one of them for Xmas and one from Trade Me. I like the way they can talk back to you and they can do lots of funny things.
