rally

On Saturday 18th 2008 Me and Mum went to the rally car show. We went around all of the cars then we went up the front because they had autographs then we went home. In the morning we got up early we went up to the rally. Heaps nearly went into the fence. Number 00 rolled it but they were ok . One went the wrong way and did a big skid. Me and Toby went up to the start spot and we saw some really fast cars. One car was stuck in fourth gear, one other had to get push started. Hayden Paden was meant to be in it but his car went over seas because he was in rally championship, which was a pain. Then we went around the track some bits were bumpy because my Mum was at the end then we went home.

The rally cars

On Friday Room 7 went to the hall to talk about some rally cars.Three men Patrick, Chris and Kerian(who used to go to our school) came and showed us some photos of rally cars and accidents. There was a blue car a silver and a all kind of colour car. I liked the dark blue one because that's my favourite colour.
After they had talked to us about how long they have been racing we went outside and we got posters and little booklets we were allowed to get our things signed I got my arms and forehead signed I sat in a car and it was really comfy and in the back of it there was a big net and it looked really safe. The car keys were still in there and when they left it made a big roar sound that hurt my ears. They went over the school bridge and out of the school it was so nice of them to come and it was really fun.

Place for Plants visit

On Thursday Lawrence, Isaac and Carl went to Place for Plants as part of our inquiry unit.
Here are some things they found out.
We learnt that the containers have heating underneath and it keeps the plants at the right temperature. One of the flowers you could eat and one you could dry and keep forever.
They gave us a free plant Carl gave his to Mrs Anderson and it was called a nemesia.

Caleb's trophy

Every Saturday this year I went to play rugby for the Wanderers Under 9 team.
I won player of the year. You get a trophy to keep and a trophy to hold up for 10 minutes to show the crowd . My Mum and Dad were proud. I was supposed to be centre but I'm a forward now.

Anansie Stories

Today Sam came all the way over from Africa to New Zealand. At the start he was really funny. My best friend Jasmin went up and played music. Jasmin played really good and so did the others. Sam told us a really good story. When we all had to dance Ellie danced really silly and funny. We had to sit for a long time but I enjoyed it, it was fun. Jasmin played something with beads on it and it was made out of fruit. Jessica had to dress up. She wore a hat and she held the stick. Sam showed us a pocket in a pocket. In the first pocket was another pocket and inside that pocket was a remote control.

SAM FROM AFRICA.

Sam came all the way from Africa and all the way to New Zealand. He told all about his animals. There were leopards and elephants and more. He was very funny and he showed us his music. He is cool. He has lots of beautiful stories. It was fun, but he said his friend died from a snake. We all went dancing. Sam took Jessica K because she was a good dancer. Then we had to go back to class.

Bradley's Weekend story

I went to Dobson to my freind's house. We went to the beach , it was not much of a beach because it was rocky. We went to the school, the school was big. We played rugby. Me and Brook won, we vs Dad and Oakley. We were going to stay the night there but Oakley was playing up so we had to find a motel, it was hard to find one. We found one at the end. It was good weekend we saw a Train on the way back. Me and Dad stopped at the steam train place where they put coal. It is big. We were digging for coal. We found heaps. It was hot.

ROOM 7 2008

Hi everyone,
Welcome to the 2008 Room 7 Blog site. We have 32 year 3 and 4 children in our class this year. We are really lucky because we have 16 girls and 16 boys in Room 7. This term our teacher is Miss Godsiff. We will get a new teacher next term because Miss Godsiff is having a baby. In our inquiry unit for term 1 we are learning all about the brain and how we learn best. There are lots of other fun things happening this term too. Next week we will be visiting the Airforce Band, Middle Syndicate Swimming Sports is coming up at Wakefield School, Ananse Stories will be visiting and at the end of the term we will have a shared lunch. We are all looking forward to sharing our stories about these events, so keep on checking the Room 7 Blog for updates.
