At The Waimea West River By Josh and Trent

On Wednesday the Middle Syndicate went to the stony, humungous, cold Waimea West River. Room7s first activity was building wooden boats with Mrs D. We made a rusty old wooden boat with a purple stone passenger with spicky hair dreads and a goaty. Our boat took over 6 other speedy boats.Next we skurried to bug hunting. Me and Xavier found a dead slimy, digusting eel. Then we found lots of cockabillies and a Dobson Fly. Next it was finally river crossing.

Wakefield School Pool By Jazmine and Skylah

On the 22nd of March we drove to the Wakefield Pool.We are going to get split up in 3 groups . First we did noodles and boards. Next we did life jackets, then we did floaties.
Yesterday the Middle Syndicate went to the warm Wakefield pool. There were three activities. First we did noodle floating. It was to see if we can float with noodles and stuff. Next we went to the deep end for the life jackets. I was freaking out but I gave it a go. Then it was all fine. Next we moved on to floating in the shallow end of the pool. We had buckets and bottles. We had five minutes free time then we got out of the pool and got changed and went back to school. We had heaps of fun at Wakefield's refreshing, exciting deep pool!

Water Slide By Kynan

Yesterday we went on a water slide. It felt exciting because I went very fast down the water slide. I
hit my head on the second go because I was leaning down. I skidded faster on the mat when Pete put dish liquid on the mat. I am lookinh forward to swimming in a warm pool next week!

Water Slide By Tayne

In Room 7 we had a special day. We got to go swimming and then we got to go on the water slide. It was fun but as well, cold! It felt like I was riding a motor bike as fast as I could. At the end of the water slide I slid into the ditch. Pete put some dish washing detergent on to make us slide faster! It was a cool way to finish swimming. Next week we are all going to the Aquatic Centre in Richmond for 10 days of swimming lessons. It better be warm!!!!

Kiwi Sports By Ollie

Get Together

Well, yesterday on 13th of September the children had a Kiwi Sports Day.

There were Brightwater, Ranzau, Hope, Appleby, and Wakefield. It was only the Middle Syndicates.

The children had to do 7 sports but there were 13 of them.

In bowls they had to try and hit a white ball.

Kiwi Sports Day is held so they can make friends.

Rugby Celebrations By Cameron

On Tuesday Sean was playing in the re inactment game it was Nelson college vs Nelson club at the Botanics .
The rules were that to get a point you had to get over the line to get a shot at goal and that is one point . There was a haka performed by 1000 Nelson college boys on the carthedral steps . There was a fight in the rugby .
Aldo Micio got a horse and carriage to the Botanics to watch the game.
