On Friday I went fishing with my awesome Dad Giles. We left at half past one. We were going to Kenepuru sounds trying to catch a snapper. When we got there we launched our big silver boat in the water and took off into the Sounds. When we got there we had dinner because it was getting late. For dinner me and Dad had bacon and eggs. They were Chloe's eggs. Then Dad set up the tent with my nice warm sleeping bag. I watched a movie for a while then went to bed. When I woke up I went straight to the boat to go fishing. When I went fishing Dad baited my rod and I threw it hard in the water. Then a few minutes later I got a bite. I wound it in furiously. I was hoping it would be a snapper. I was crossing my fingers but but... it wasn't a snapper- it was a silly old skate. I didn't like that, nether did Dad. I chucked my rod back in the flat water and was hoping when I wound it in I would get a snapper. Then I got a tug on the end of my rod so I wound it in but it was a ... stinking old shark. That was the second time we didn't get a snapper. Dad said he was getting sick of this because it kept on happening. It was so bad that Dad had to move but it kept on happening there too, so we went back to our camp and packed up and went back to Havelock and had a small hot chocolate and some cake at a cafe. At the cafe I said to dad can I take a shark to school? He said since you have been a good girl, yes, you can take a shark to school. I said, yes, yes, yes, thank you Dad so much I love you. Dad said I love you too. In the end we did not get a snapper we only got a skate and stinking old sharks.
